List of compatible modems
As noted elsewhere, DSLstats should work
correctly with most modems using a Broadcom DSL processing
chip, which have a fully functioning telnet interface giving
access to the Broadcom CLI. The program also supports some
Thomson/Technicolor models via their custom CLI. The modems
listed below are believed to fulfil these requirements. An
indication is given where this compatibility is confirmed in
practice.
In most cases, only a login username and password are required to gain access to the CLI, but some modem/routers require extra stages of logging in, or have other special requirements, and a note is included where this applies.
Note 1: VDSL2 compatibility not yet confirmed (26
Sept 2013)
Note 2: TG589vn is VDSL2 capable, but DSLstats
doesn't support it fully in VDSL2 mode.
Note 3: DSL-3780 is only partly supported. It has a
Ralink chipset with a CLI which tries to mimic the Broadcom
CLI but is incomplete.
Note 4: TD-W8960N V5 has telnet issues. Status of
earlier versions is not known.
Note 5: The early test versions of HG635 had
working telnet interfaces, but it appears that production
versions supplied by TalkTalk have the telnet interface
disabled, so DSLstats doesn't work with them.
Note 6: The HG658c has to be unlocked to enable
telnet access.
Note 7: Netgear models are no longer supported.
They may work, but I don't have the resources to diagnose
problems with them.
Note 8: DSLstats may not work with later firmware
versions.
Note 9: DGA4130 has to be unlocked first.
